I'm making a collage of my favorite games/characters for side art, any of the turtles would help me along that path.

I"ll look around and see what I can find if your still looking. ;D
-
i didnt find any vector art, but on the official website they had some wallpaper in a fairly high res format. Here is a rough layout of the side art i've come up with, suggestions are more then welcome the actual size is something like 22" by 30" and its going on a black laminate cab
-
Not bad, a little sparce, good use of black for going on a black cabinet.
Either remove pacman or the ghost one too many refrences to the same game. Maybe add another character refrence like street figher, or something classic like mario?
-
It looks smooth enough res for a program to auto-trace into vector art. Still need it in vector form?

Mario is on the way....
the delay was caused by the death of my comp (RIP)

nice.
I find there's to much space betwen characters.
you can wippe out the black background of your side art, just keep it on characters.
1) it will produce a smaller image
2) the 2 black colors, black laminated and printed black will be different, this will produce a sort of underlined graphic.

Here is the site with the pics (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/html/gallery.htm)

I think there is an Adobe program created solely for this function, but I can't remember the name of it.
Flash does it too, but not very well. :)
-
Adobe Streamline I think.
-
streamline takes bitmap images and converts them to vector lines. Does a pretty good job but you have to tweek it a bit. It is old and has'nt been updated since I would say 97 or 98. As far as auto trace that is a part of adobe illustrator. I'm not sure which version started with it. I've used it since version 7 up till 10. I am going to post a turtle in the mametrix site if anyone is interested, sometime today.
Here is the bw bitmap. ;D

if your still looking for leo_06 in vector form take a look to mamematrix library.

Try these two programs to make vector images!
Corel Trace
Flash MX
The first one's to trace a bitmap, for me, the best program to do the job! The second prog's to tweak the image! It's easy, clean and very smooth! :)
But, as anything in life, you need to have some skills in the matter... :P

Pacman needs thicker black lines on the outside. A yellow ghost?????

Pacman needs thicker black lines on the outside.
these sould be easy to do in Illustrator.
I can update Pacman this nigth (CET time)
A yellow ghost?????

this is not Blinky nor Clyde nor Inky and neither Pinky.
but changing a color is quitte easy no ??
if you wish I can upload the correct colored ghosts tonigth.

I'm just saying, a yellow ghost? It is just wrong :)
but changing a color is quitte easy no ??
Not really when you don;t have the right tools :P

I agree, and respect the point.

For the uninformed, which are the right tools? Thanks

Photoshop 7 for all raster images.
Illustrator 10 for all vector images.
These are the standards, what most people use. Though there are some nice non-adobe stuff out there for linux I hear.

photoshop knows how to handle bitmap and .eps file
as I mostly (mainly) run linux I can't tell so much for windows/mac soft other than photoshop and illustrator.
under linux
gimp handle bitmap and eps files without problems
sketch knows how to read/save illustrator file
