Don't know if this has been posted yet or not. Pretty cool.

think someone did a couple weeks ago.. they are cute i had'nt seen the neogeo before..
they are superbly done and really cool novelty but i can't see anyone spending real time on one, they're just so small.

Agreed. I would have personally done something different with the ball tops. They look too big.
-
Note the buttons are pretty big, too. They used real arcade controls.

He said the buttons are mini sanwa arcade buttons and the joystick is from a Space INvaders TV game (those toy games you plug straight into a tv)

They look like my submini....

Fun, reminds me of the mini arcade I made, I just used a jaks game and a 5" lcd.

i'd love to build a mini cabinet for the kids, but my wife is pretty set against it. my 2 year old loves to sit on the bar stool with me when i'm playing on my upright cabinet...and just yesterday, i had my old control panel sitting on the floor, and my 8 month old crawled over to it and started pushing buttons. i can't help but think that if i had a small cabinet that the kids would love to go play with it. (even if they are a little too small to actually understand)
i'm thinking i'm probably better off to wait until the little one is about 4 or so, then build a half-size cabinet or something.
i love these little cabinets though

I built something similar with a PocketPC in the center:

I made the buttons and joystick to scale, but that way they are a lot less playable. Still, even a cab a foot tall is actually pretty playable. On birthdays it would get a lot of play.
Kids play on a DS or PSP. Why not on something with better controls bolted on top?

Yeah, I saw that on HaD (and again on Digg I think) not too long ago. The actual build thread is at elotrolado.net (http://www.elotrolado.net/hilo_pocket-drive-arcade-otra-mini-recre-de-lucho_1088965). Can't read Spanish very well but the pictures are very informative.
