I have decided to build a lowboy from scratch based on Lord Hiryu cab.
I am trying to work out how to have it on wheels like people do but then how to stop it moving around when playing, I have also noticed most lowboys sit up on a 100mm stand, just wondering how this is attached etc
Thanks

This pic should help. Basically on the original lowboys the base was held on by 4 pieces of wood nailed to the stand in the top of each corner, then glued and nailed to the base of the cab. The option i used were these heavy duty 3 way metal brackets i found at bunnings (about $12 for 2) and they did the job perfectly.

Thanks for that

Whoa, please reduce those photos to something a little more web friendly! they are huge!
2304px × 1728px is too much, use something like google's picasa to size them down to 640 x 480.
Anyway, the cab looks like it's coming along really well. Any thoughts on artwork ? theme ?

sorry about the size, didnt even notice, I have resized now :dizzy:
still working out a them and artwork, that seems to be the hardest part

cool cabinet design, eloquent in it's simplicity.
i bet it would look good yellow with black lettering.

just an update
have added front and back with access door in back, mounted screen, added base and drilled control panel, getting there slowly

I like the concept you've used for making the bezel. I'm thinking I might have to do something similar.
Will look pretty suave once you get some artwork on there! :)

yeah, luckily I have used a flat screen so the bezel was quite easy, would be a bit more involved with a rounded screen.
