How do you configure the pacman to speed up and not the ghosts

Try hitting f2 and mess around with the settings?

No no. pac plus is ALL faster. You want the speed-up hack. (Blech.)

speed up hack! is that an add on cheat! or a different version of the game altogether

If you are referring to Mame.....  Use Misfit Mame.   Regular Mame has both standard and fast for both Pac and Ms. Pac.  Misfit will allow you the "turbo button" version that I much more preferred back in the day.  It plays standard, but when you hit the button, Pac/Ms. Pac goes fast, and the ghost stay the same, release the button and all is normal again.

I ain't seen that one. A few months ago, I came across a machine the people at the bar said could play both ways. Far as I could tell, it didn't, and the only buttons were 1P/2P.
