Title: Anyone collect old nes games?
Post by: lordtodd75 on August 06, 2009, 05:05:21 pm
I am a collector and I need someone to trade with. Anyone interested? Even if you don't want to trade post your console game collections. My collection is scattered around in like 15 different boxes. When I get them all organized I will post a pic of mine.

Here's my remaining NES cart collection:

Super Mario Bros

Too bad I did a lot of trading when I was younger. I have 15 or so consoles with games for all of them, yet my NES got ignored after a while. I just emulate it now anyway.

Theres jsut something about playing nes games on a nes. THe response time for the buttons is better. Everything else is gone though, snes, sega/cd, atari.
GRanted I jsut picked upa 2600 and a 15" color tv from 76 ;)

Yeah, I wish we had perfect NES emulation. It's just not the same as the real deal.

I used to collect NES games and had a decent amount of them, 600 or so before I sold them off.  Best place to go for NES is nintendoage.com there is a ton of knowledge and collectors over there.

I'm actually getting back into buying back my old consoles, including the NES.  I sold off a lot of my systems with the intent on just using emulation, but have found that it doesn't compare to the real thing.  I've gotten back a Genesis, N64 and SNES but the NES is next on my list.

I've always been envious of AVGN's collection. I guess it helps when you get a lot of donations:

I still have all my old consoles...including my intelevision (with voice box), 2600 and colecovision. They are snug in boxes in my shed. Quite a few years ago I got back into Consoles and re-purchased my NES, SNES, and Genesis...and began re-buying my game collections too.....ugh, I should have just kept them to begin with.

Every once in a while I look for some old carts that I used to play.

Herzog Zwei and Gain Ground are prob  my fav Genesis titles.

I managed to wrangle up the classics for NES. Zeldas, Marios, Kid Icarus, FF, Dragon Warrior...stuff like that.

Just wanted to share that I have my three year old playing "mario and luigi"(super mario bros 2) as he calls it on the nes. I had him try a variety of different game systems and none except the nes has held his interest. It brings a tear to my eye, he looks just like his daddy playing. I took a bunch of pictures, being the proud dad that I am, I will try to post some.

I also just won a lot of 434 nintendo games. I got them for a very good price and hope to sell enough back that it pays for the price of the lot. Can't wait to get my hands on them! Who's up for trading?

Your son has begun his proper training to enter the world that we all know so well. My little guy (he's 2) is in a similar position; he calls NSMBW "Super Mario Show" on account that I have him watching the SMB cartoons I grew up on. He also knows how to turn the PSP on and off and can actually play the first few levels of Wario's Woods. Kudos to you and yours!

I know I know, but noone else will buy me nintendo games. My girl thinks I am a wackjob and she is afraid that she will get screwed if she uses ebay so she leaves that part up to me. I dont really count it as a christmas present anyway since a lot of the games will be sold and I will probably end up turning a profit rather then spending money. At least, that is how I rationalize it to myself
