Hey everyone,
I'm pulling out all the stops on this end. I've been working hard to get reproduction projects off of life support and back into full swing. I've found, however, that I am spending a large amount of time on Solidworks drawing up the parts and less time in the shop actually making the parts. I know that my time is better spent in the shop because I am a master at operating CNC machines.
So, I'm trying to bring in some help. I need people who are above average users of Solidworks (versions 2007 through 2009) who have the time, interest and capacity to help me with drawing up parts. This will free up most of my time to do what I do best: make reproduction parts!
If you guys have not noticed, my reproduction part releases have been happening more frequently since I've returned back to the States. I'm on the cusp of having several of the large projects completed and I would like to focus on them. However, I would still like some help if anyone out there is capable and willing.
Send me a PM if interested.
Thanks everyone.

Are you looking for help with modeling, detailing, or both? Did you get my PM?

I sent a PM as well on 8/3/09. No word back. Busy, Dave? :]
Thanks,

Hey guys,
Sorry about not getting back to you. Somehow, I completely missed a few PM's. I got focused on one or two and didn't notice the others that slipped in around the same time. Whoops!!
Anyhow, I just bit the bullet and went on a marathon 3D modeling spree. I've modeled up roughly 125-ish components in record time. I even modeled up parts I didn't even know I wanted to reproduce! LOL
Everything from Tempest spinner knobs, frames, encoder wheels and Atari logo stick handles to 720 upper/lower housing components and Assault joystick shafts. Then there's all of the control panels I've modeled up. I'm all over the map with Atari reproduction parts right now.
Honestly, I can't think of anything I need help with now aside from maybe finding a few local people who might want to volunteer some of their time on Star Wars yoke assembly work. :-) No, really... about the only part I need drawn up right now is a Peter Packrat controller shaft. I don't have one in my possession to work with, so I'm SOL for now.
Gripe: something I wish solidworks did natively: apply wrap feature to spherical objects. Still not supported after ALL these years! Just causes me spend a few extra minutes working around the limitation. LOL
