Title: Electrohome G05-802 Monitor Troubleshooting...
Post by: HaRuMaN on July 27, 2009, 12:39:37 pm
I've got to get the right value fuses so I can replace some burnt out ones.  There is neck glow in the monitor.  This is a good sign, right?  8)

Yes, neck glow is generally a good thing.  ;)

Are the fuses blowing still ?

I've still got to buy the right value fuses, so I'm not sure yet.  I did replace one blown one (5A) and now the spot killer LED lights up.  I have one more to replace (1A) I think, but I don't have any on hand.

Just be sure to double check ALL transistors. I've personally never seen the chassis mounted fuses "just blow". There's usually a reason somewhere in that appropriate circuit. (X,Y, etc)
And of course check solder joints closely too while you're in there.
