Title: COVERTING TWO EMS TOPGUN2(s) INTO BUCK HUNTER SHOTGUNS!!

I have a freind who came across two buck hunter shotguns (apparently he "got them from the dump") but the problem is that the cable is cut on both of them.... He was wondering if it is possbile to modify it with guts from an EMS topgun.... I told him i personally have no idea..but maybe some of you Electronic Extraordinaires might...any help or should i report its a lost cause...?
