Title: i really need help on this...please read

alright i already posted this but nobody will help.  i am running every single emulator i have fine, except for the NES ones!!!  the simplest emu i have, and its lagging?  what the heck.  anyone else have this problem or can suggest something?  please!

Computer, OS, NES emulator, version, etc..

my computer is fine, i run MOHAA and Neverwinter Nights and all that.  the weird thing is i used to play just about every NES emulator on this computer with no problems.  ive used VirutalNES, FCEultra, Nesticle, Nester, Nesten, you name it ive used it.  and they all give me lag.  does that mean there is something interfering?  oh and all the emulators are the newest versions, but that shouldnt matter cuz ive been using FCEultra for quite some time with no problems, now all of a sudeen it lags.  whats the deal??
