My TurboTwist 2 arrived today and I couldn't wait to hook it up and play my favorite game. It was nice to reward myself with some actual game play after everything I've been doing the last couple weeks... except, I couldn't get it to work.
The TT2 was recognized by my computer - both my laptop and desktop. It's hooked into the X axis (A/B). I move the spinner, it moves my mouse left/right. Beauty!
So then I start Arkanoid and I get no movement from the spinner. So I went into the game config:
Dial Analog: Mouse X
Okay, that means the spinner should work, right? But, no go.
I've played with the Analog controls turning the Dial digital speed and sensitivity up & down. Still no reaction from the spinner (but it does change the movement of my arrow keys).
So, why isn't the game recognizing my spinner? (it doesn't move if I use my mouse pad or a USB mouse either).
Again, I don't think it's the spinner hookup as my mouse does move left/right in Windows. It has to be something with Arkanoid and Mame settings is my only thought. I've tried this on both laptop and desktop.
Please, make this Arkanoid junkie happy!

maybe you need
Mouse 1 in INI

What OS and what version of MAME are you using? I am having a problem with MAME .132 on Windows 7 with MAME not recognizing my mouse (trackball) or my U360 joysticks. I know that I have everything set correctly within MAME as I've done this hundreds of times in the past after new compiles.

Of course! All I needed was 10 more minutes I guess. Duh. Exactly right, my dial was still set to keyboard in the ini file. :timebomb:
Edit to add.... SWEETNESS!!! :burgerking:
