I would just like to say that I think Saint and his team of mods here do a great job. The rules are clear, the hand of authority is light, but swift and fair.
I have never been in doubt about what is right/wrong to post at this site. If certain other arcade forums would model after this place, we'd all be better off.

I am guessing this is a response to the trainwreck that is the forums over at KLOV right now.
And he is 100% correct ... even some of the most ridiculous stuff that gets posted here (including stuff posted by me) doesn't compare to the nonsense that has been going on over there lately.

Hehe, there is a war going on over a KLOV right now due to the way it is administrated and moderated. Like I said, you all do a great job over her, and I appreciate that fact.

Hmm, not familiar with the battle over there. Haven't looked at KLOV for a while. Sounds juicy, I shall have a look see. :)

Of course, if the users at KLOV wouldn't act like ---Deutsche Frankfurters--- all the time, the mod tactics would be moot.

I've never felt welcome at KLOV, other than when I first posted there and found an empty cab locally.
I definitely appreciate the overall tone of this forum and the rules we have here. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and I can't tell you how many good things I've had happen as a result of being a member here.
BYOAC is the best thing ever. (Well, second best, but only because BJs exist...)

2. Don't work around the profanity filter. People from all walks of life visit here, and I want all to feel welcome. If you post something and the board automatically censors the word, don't use a misspelling, "g33k-sp3@k", or f-unny spa-cing to get around the auto-filter. It's not a contest to see how clever you can be in defeating the auto-censor. If the properly spelled word is censored, don't find a way around it please.

I don't think it's the members over at KLOV that are the problem. Many of them are the same people who post here. The problem is an admin and mod problem. Their style is incoherent and very subjective, and they are preachy as well.
The P'n'R forum and Post Hell are concepts the KLOV Admin. just can't bring himself to emulate, although many are suggesting he take a look at BYOAC for guidance. Which may be pissing him off as well.

It's the very reason I feel this is my "home" forum and also why I'm so happy the restoration section is such a big success.....I much prefer to post my projects here than anywhere else.
Recently I've been into a clash on another forum, something that never happened to me on any other forum. It ended that I received physical threats and insults. Stupid things like that just either don't seem to happen here or are taken care of properly :)
I go on holiday for two weeks and all hell breaks loose at KLOV forum ? I saw something about Mark Spaeth (amongst others) being temporarily blocked. I guess Mark left the board for that ?
I know Mark is quite "expressive" sometimes, but in a way I still believe that it's "deserved" by the people he aims at.
I've communicated with Mark through KLOV forum and e-mails, never a problem. Act normal, he treats you normal.
IMHO it's a big loss for KLOV if he's gone because he added some unique products you can't get anywhere else and he replied on technical issues from others plenty of times.
Anyway, BYOAC rocks :D

Yep, Mark left KLOV. I hope he comes back. My personal feeling on him was that he might call you an idiot, but he still gave you sound technical advice in the same breath. ;)

First Peter Hirschberg and then Spaeth ... the KLOV guys seem to run off the knowledgeable folks while here we run off folks like genesim and tommy -- maybe we should have arranged a trade ?

Saint was wise enough to open up an O.K. Corral over at P'n'R for the gunslingers among us. As a result, the rest of the BYOAC gets to live peacefully.
As for Spaeth....I think given enough time, he'll be back....he's moving residence right now so it's probably just as well from his perspective.
