Hey guys,
After a lot of hunting around my town (Kelowna BC Canada) I have finally found some machines worthy of restoration. I bought a TRON that had been converted to jamma with a bootleg 1943 a couple of months ago, but came to the conclusion the whole point of a real arcade machine is to have restored collectibles
So to make a long story short, these machines showed up on a local buy/sell list for free about 5 weeks ago, and by the time I called they were gone. Today they showed up again, contacted the new seller and picked them up for a fee ;D
Asteroids - Was told it was non-working, haven't powered it up. Pcb obviously disconnected and has a burned pin.. otherwise the machine appears to be complete (except 1 coin mech) and in good shape. I didn't get any pictures of the side art, both sides had some scratches where the graphics paint was removed .. but was still in decent shape.
Galaga - Told non-working, definitely well used but still in decent shape for restoration. Does not appear to be missing anything... yet
Mario Bros - Powered it up, pcb playable and working, but monitor has some interesting issues but displays picture (another thread for that). Side art is wrecked, and the bezel screen has some scratches .. but the artwork on it is perfect :) .. also has tma1-up-us tag
Just thought I would share my adventure and some pictures, look forward to resto threads in the future

nice, i especially like that mario bro's, i think i only seen one in real life so i'd make that your first project, sound like it would'nt be to hard to fix either, the side art needs replaced, bezel from the pictures still looks great.. if you can just work out the monitor issue.
btw im curious if you dont mind how much?

Mario bros is my favorite too, and the wife also likes it too
I paid $200 for all three machines

In my first post I meant to say the mario bros has a DJR1-UP-US tag still on it (dk jr1)
The Mario Bros tag is on there with TMA1-UP-US, serial 15294PK ... so a conversion kit
Going to install a cap kit on the sanyo monitor this weekend, should I also do the audio board caps?
