I might start drilling the holes in my control panel tommorrow, but i really need a layout for a 7 button neogeo layout ie
123
456
7
does anyone have one, or could make me one in a gif, jpg etc? Also, having the joystick hole would be nice too.
Thanks

did you see my post? i was asking the same thing. If someone responds let me know. I will do likewise

I'll be doing this soon with my cp too, and have drawn up a prototype arrangement (attached) I'd suggest drawing this out to 1:1 scale on paper/cardboard/scrap wood etc. and just seeing if you like the positions. I'm going to do this and use this layout as a starting point, and modify it as I see fit.
This isn't based on any existing panel, I just made it up to suit my cab.
hope it helps!
(dimensions in mm, sorry to those imperialists out there :))

Did you do a search for NeoGeo layout?

I think someone posted one a few months back ;D

I just did mine the other day. If you want something that you could alter to your preference, I used the template from Lucid's site http://users.adelphia.net/~seanhat/arcade/ a wonderful site with many resources. Under the download section of his site he has a word document layout for the joystick and buttons. He only has six buttons though, so I just copied and pasted one to add the seventh. I also put the buttons at an angle for personal confort. Then I just printed it out, tested it for comfort, and tweeked it and reprinted until I thought it was the most comfortable/natural for myself. Once I had my final version printed I just taped it to my control panel and drilled pilot holes right through the paper. And I couldn't be happier with the results.

I've experiment much on making one layout that will work for as many fighters as possible. The ones that seem important are the Capcom 6, Neo_Geo/SoulCalibur, and Virtua Fighters...
I've thought of bringing the center line of the joystick more in line with the bottom row of the Capcom 6 since it seems like often I'll have to shift the right hand down and I don't like feeling the edge of the CP...

download the visio viewer and can use the one that i made.... not exactly the same you were looking for, but it works nice for me..

edit : please note i just used parts from somebody elses CP top and visio files (sorry cant remember who, but thanks) and motified them to fit how i like.
