I built my cab about 4 years ago and have MAMEWAH setup and running well. I've been busy with family, work, etc and haven' messed with it since last year. Anyway, I copied a subset (about 20) of my favorite games / ROMS to another folder and installed MAMEWAH & MAME on another PC in the house. It works great, but the game list is the full 6000+ games. I deleted all of the files in the ini folder except 00mame.ini, but when I attempted to generated a new list, I got the full 6000+ listed again.
What am I doing wrong?
thanks!

Hi there.
Remember Mamewah has 2 types of lists:
1. All Games --> The main list with all the games
2. Filter --> could be as many as you want and are filter by year, clones, category, control type, etc.
From your post, it seems you're just seeing the "All Games" list.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Congui

So it's reading the entire contents of the mame.exe?
In your mamewah\config\mame.ini file change the method:
list_generation_method rom_folder_vs_dat_file
That should do the trick.
You can also create a new gamelist and copy the games into that via the MAMEWah front-end. Create a new file called mame-1.ini:
e.g.
### 01mame-1.ini (mamewah v1.62) ###
list_title Fantastic
### Games List Settings ###
cycle_list 1
list_type normal
display_clone_info 0
max_favorites 0
### Execution Settings ###
pre_emulator_app_commandlines
emulator_commandline
post_emulator_app_commandlines
### Settings used by MAMEWAH ###
current_game 924
