Ive got a question on cap kits myself.
Im by no means an expert in monitor repair or electronics for that matter, but this seems simple enough.
it ought to be like replacing a water pump on a car. Take the bolts out, take the belt off, make sure that the new one matches up, and install it.
problem is that i am almost done installing the cap kit and ive got 5 left.
the Checklist that WG sent me is specifying much smaller caps for 4 of these, and also the fifth one was never installed on my board to begin with.
this is a WG U2000, and the caps in question are as follows.
C810 was never installed on my board. its calling for 10UFD @ 63v am i supposed to add this or leave it alone? this monitor worked fine without it since it was made.
C808 is also calling for a 10UFD @63v. But what is in that spot now is 2.2UFD @250v
C117 is calling for 10UFD @ 50v and what is their now is a 22UFD @ 160v
c119 is calling for 100UFD @ 200V Installed now is a 100UFD @ 250v.
my question is are these values that WG specifies as replacement correct or not? thanks.
also, 3 of these caps im asking the questions on, the ones they specify arent in the bag.

i could use a hint or two, this is my first monitor repair.
i am not at all an expert at pcb repair. Most of my problem PCBS i send off to Raymond Jett at Arcadecomponents but this i definately feel i can tackle.
no im not a dummy either with me its always safety first. i have a 40000 volt probe left over from electronics when i was in college and dammit i know how to use it. dont make me pull it out. LOL.

I don't have the cap list or schematics in front of me, but I can say this much: you can go UP in voltage rating on a cap, but never DOWN. And the values should always match.
Where did you get these caps from?

What IS left in the bag ?
Do they match what's on the chassis now ?
