Title: Thinking about building a 48-1 jamma cabinet but need some help
Post by: Nick Rocco on July 12, 2009, 09:04:12 am
I am thinking about building a 48-1 jamma cocktail cabinet.  I found a good deal on a new board but I do not know much about the jamma setup.  It looks like I can by a wiring harness from happ but I am not sure what type of monitor I need and are there any other concerns with controls etc.

I actually wanted to build a Namco Reunion cocktail but the board is about 2 - 3 time more expensive than the 48-1.

I am also in the process of building an upright mame cabinet but it seems like the jamma setup would be easier for the cocktail cabinet.  I just wanted to keep it simple...maybe a joystick and fire button.

Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

The 48 in 1 should have a dip switch setting so you can use a arcade monitor or a vga monitor.   21 inch vga crt screens are a give away in most areas now.

Here is a link on your jamma harness hookup.
