Title: Removing Wico Joystick?
Post by: Klomper on July 10, 2009, 04:25:55 pm
I'm trying to remove a Wico joystick that's shaft is either rusted together or stuck in some other fashion.

Any techniques, remedies or solutions to get this thing apart?

Been there, done that. I gave up. Others in the same predicament have cut/replaced the shaft.

Depends how bad it is, might need just to replace it.
Let it soak overnight submerged in coke classic just like your old bike chains, it eats the rust away.

Worth a shot.  And you can do it in a fairly small bucket.
