Are there any specific guides on how to wire my cabinet so I can use it with my PC (via IPAC keyboard encoder) AND wire it to my dreamcast (which will be inside my cabinet)?
I've looked through the links and I can't find anything on this.

sofakng,
I too am interested in this. From what I've read, it will require wiring everything through some quick disconnects and then plug and unplug them in as needed.
My situation is that I'm trying to figure out how to do this and still get power to my P360s. I think I'm leaning towards putting the disconnects or some kind of switch in between the joysticks and buttons and the IPAC and the console hack. That way I should be able to leave the IPAC plugged in and get the +5V from it to power the joysticks.
Man... trying to get consoles and PCs to work together is hard. Especially if you want to use the IPAC for the PC.

No no...it's been done. You need to use diodes. That's all I know. Do a search in the forums for "diodes" and you'll find the thread that explains how to do it.

Wha? or you could put the wires coming from both the DC pad hack and the I-Pac into the same Quick Dissconnect? Just make sure they both aren't on at the same time. You might also want to try the X-Arcade encoder as you wouldn't need to hack anything, but only swap adapters.

X-arcade no longer sells encoders...
PSX -> USB
PSX -> Dreamcast
PSX -> GameCube
PSX -> Xbox
adaptors for all...

I plan to do this also:

However would it work to connect the dreamcast hack to the Ipac instead of the appropriate microswitch?
