Hello Everybody. I have been lurking theese forums for ages and finally i got myself an arcade!. So now its time for all the noob questions. ;D
The cabinet is a clone cabinet like this http://hard--candy.com/index.asp?page=Rock+II+Playtime
I have connected my computer with an arcadevga to a jpac and to the jamma connector on the cab like this:

But all i get is a blue screen on the monitor. It looks the same wether the jpac is connected or not.

The label on the monitor says irico and the label on the chassis says wei-ya. Im a total noob to all this so im kinda stuck right now. Also there is a horrible high pitch squeeeky noise from the monitor. Anybody familiar with this ? any help is greatly apreciated
Thanks

Also i noticed that there is a cable just lying on the floor on the cabinet. Should i connect this to the power supply?

I tried to follow the cable to the jamma connector and it says -5 volt.

I had a rear-projection HDTV around Xmas that I was working on that made the same noise. It had a bad horizontal output transistor (among other things), but the HOT was causing that high-pitched whine. Seems to me if the monitor does the same thing with and without a signal, it's probably a monitor issue. Do you have a JAMMA PCB you can test it with?
You may have better success posting this in the Monitor forum; that way you won't get responses from stupid people like me. :D

the contrast is off, and you have a degauss problem; but that isnt causing the blue screen. What happens if you plug a normal JAMMA PCB in there?
and yes, you'll get more AND better replies in the monitor section

Thanks.
I did a stupid mistake and installed the jpac the wrong way. Luckily it seems the jpac is still working. Got a working picture now. But the screen is wobbling like crazy. I will ask in the monitor forum

This picture shows the wobbling to some extent. Everything looks perfect now, sharp and clear with nice colours but the wobbling is driving me insane. I do have the cabinet hooked up trough a step down transformer (220 to 110 volt) cos im living in norway. Can this have anything to do with the wobbling? Maybe the monitor is not getting enough power? (i really am clueless on this.. just guessing)
I have tried to remove the marquee light and the speakers to make sure it wasnt just some kind of interference but nothing is changed.
edit: Just adding that the monitor is brand new so it shouldnt be (hopefully) anything wrong with it

Did you ever find the source of the wobbling? I am having a similar issue.
