i havent seen any posts about cables to go. i searched too.
they have one thing a lot of other guys dont and that is long internal pc cables.
if your motherboard is on the floor of your cab and your trying to fit some disk drives behind a happ door on the side of your cabinet or elsewhere, youll find that nothing at best buy is long enough.
they have many cables available in arcade cabinet sized lengths as well as a lot of other neat stuff.
heres what i found. you want a 3 foot Ide cable? you got it.
disk drive power cables? just call them and tell them how long, etc etc.
anyway just figured id share my experience.

Awesome. Yeah sourcing parts like these can be tricky.

Who?

Who?
oh, sorry. Its cablestogo.com
-
Prices seem a bit high, but then the quality is probably better than Monoprice.com (among others).
-
I used to buy from them at the computer shows! Not many places have four foot long ide cables and they used to have multi head sound cables.
-
I used CablesToGo.com to buy my illuminated USB cables, which match my lighted NovaGem buttons. You can see five of them plugged into the hub in my CP on the right side of this picture, and one more plugged into the LEDWiz at the bottom (there is also a green one going into the hub from the back of the CP visible).

I use a different color for cables going to components that are not inside the CP, in this case, orange runs to two Stelladapters that are under the CP on the front of the cab:

They come in a variety of colors:

You used lighted USB cables for inside your closed CP? ???
-
The CP is hinged and not a single person plays the machine that is not totally impressed when they see the inside. (And I make sure to show it to everyone!) I think they're more impressed by seeing the CP wiring than they are by the outside of the cabinet or even the games themselves! And the illuminated USB cables are my own little obsession.
-
yeah, if you really wanted to go nuts you could order one of their structured cabling systems i forget what its called but basically if you have a lot of games, they sell a combined cable that will carry all the components youll ever need down to various pre wired keystone jacks. awesome, but i certainly dont have that much cash or enough games to warrant it.
they are just awesome for sourcing internal cables that are long enough though. and if they arent long enough you can call them up.

this looks just aesome. Great job.
Im a little curious though as to what you used all that USB for. Actually, i wanna know mabeye i missed something when i built my cabinet.
Mine has a hub with 5 cables going out of it.
two of them are behind a door with my disk drives for powering an external hard drive,
and two of them are hidden under the control panel for plugging in gamepads for players 3 and 4.
and one goes to my Ipac.

man i havent been to a computer show in years and years.
they used to hold a huge one down at the hilton hotel in Fort Lauderdale. actually they still do i believe.
but its been so long since i lived there. i miss that used to look forward to it every year.
if anyone knows of a good one in Georgia, feel free to let me know.

I'm actually using 14 USB connections in my cab:
Inside CP:
2x U360 joysicks
1x U-trak trackball
1x Spin-Trak spinner
1x LEDWiz
1x Ipac
Inside Cab:
2x Stelladapters
1x Keyboard
1x mouse
1x External hard drive
1x Griffin Powermate volume control mod
2x front panel ports for accesories
So, I have one 7 port hub inside the CP and one 4 port hub in the cabinet.
