well basicly i build a control panel for my mame project soon.
so i will be after the relevant parts.
i know it is probably asked elsewhere but, what is best idea for pinball plunger,is there a mame arcade plunger i can buy that works like a button or is the button option best.
i intend to put 2 control sticks with 6 buttons each, credit button,esc,1/2 player select, pinball flipper buttons (is tilt necessary?) and the plunger (or button)
ultimarc seems decent place to buy.
?
if i had the machine on 1 controller with 6 buttons can it be used for 2 player games?i had a mate round earleir and we had the xarcade out,now when we had a doss on slapshot 2 player was on the dedicated 2 player control, can the 2nd player be put on the 1 player control,if i say decided to go for that config?
this is my mame cab:

its an invaders part 2 conversion, hopefully i get the cosmetics sortd within the next couple weeks, more sanding, priming, sanding, priming (you know the score)will be spray painted orange, rustoleum outta tins.
so there would be no harm to buy the cp parts would it?
i am in uk and know theres a few site owners round here that might suggest what is best given the size of the cp i have now which is slightly over 2ft.
no i dont want to add a big cp on it like sticking an xarcade to it,some of your mame cabs look seriously cool but,i dont want the extra hassle.
so whats best for me with slightly over 2ft to dabble with?
thanks in advance.

i'm not sure i fully understand your questions, but here is what i think:
i am not aware of any pinball plunger assemblies that you can purchase that are designed for this type of application. there are quite a few examples though of people who have made their own. I believe mountain made a pretty cool one on his cabinet(search the project announcement threads). tilt buttons are necessary if you want to be able to use that functionality in the emulator. i'm not a huge pinball fan, so i never bothered with them on my cabinet.
Ultimarc is definitely a good place to buy from...i dont think you can find a negative comment about them anywhere on this message board.
I'm sorry, but i dont quite understand what you are asking about the 2 player controls.
there should be no harm in ordering the components now...and 24" is enough for a 2 player 6 button configuration, but be aware that it could be a little crowded for two adults to get in there comfortably, but it is definitely enough room to work with.

i was just wandering if it was possible to have a 2 player game like slapshot on 1 controller setup,as it switchs from 1 player to 2nd player on my xarcade.i think i cant and it dont matter now as i ordered:
2x j-stik ball top
10x buttons (1/2 player/6 button setup 3 different colors each side/per row.esc/credit)
mini ipac+ harness
all from ultimarc.
is it important to have the joystick mounting kit that he sells?
