Title: Help me buy a monitor
Post by: macrho on July 06, 2009, 05:54:44 pm
My MAME cabinet is almost complete.
I've purchased my cabinet and controller from MameRoom (experience was ok)
I've built my own PC with an SSD running XP (nice and quiet and quick)
I have an ArcadeVGA from Ultimarc (Andy's support is top notch [actually beyond], more in a review later)
I purchased artwork from MameMarquee (fantastic experience)
I'd like to have a monitor in which it remembers its settings across resolutions. (after all I'm lazy and want to game!)
I'll primarily play MAME games with some consoles thrown in and little (if any) PC games

What should I get with my configuration?

Cheers!

This is pretty much your only option IMO:

How do the flat CRT's compared to the non-flats like the D9400 in terms of the retro look?

When you get to this size of tube, I've found I prefer flat tubes. Of course, I'm more concerned with native res display than the look of the cab.
