Title: CD100C Animation motor question
Post by: dskansas on July 06, 2009, 01:13:44 am
I just purchased a Rowe CD100C jukebox and both the CD animation and tube light motors were out. The guy that sold it to me has several in local bars and says he just unplugs them when the go out. Since I am using this for a game room and it will have fewer hours of use than a bar, I decided to go ahead and purchase two new ones from A&B Jukebox.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a better brand that was interchangeable when my new ones eventually go out. I am assuming that the ones I ordered are the same Synchron brand that is in the jukebox now. Also are there some tip or tricks that will extend the life of these motors.

Thanks in advance,
Dennis

Those motors fail all the time. That's why so many coin-op parts distributors sell them.

Whenever we had one fail on location, we simply unplugged it. My boss said the motors were simply too expensive to bother with.

Hi dskansas,

An alternative supplier could be Suzzo/Happ. www.suzohapp.com or Victory Glass.

www.victoryglass.com

I understand that these parts cost money but fail to see why operators in the USA do not replace them. We were always told that a clean and tidy machine took more revenue, so any attract mode not working or dirty would reduce the sites income.

Hi Ken,

40824302
 Animation Motor & Harness 1+   $44.00

As you say pricey but think of what it would be in the UK with delivery and import duty.
We may have to pay about £44 - £50 for that motor.

By all accounts there is a main dealer for Rowe Ami in the UK that took over from Rowe Ami UK when Chris Hinds packed in but they do not sell any stock or offer their services?

Sound Sence will order parts for customers.

Note: they do not have the correct picture of the part.
