Bob Robert's has em for $20, are they any good? I am interested in a ball-top 4 way and for some odd reason I like the ones that sit low to the CP, is that bad for them to?

I bought one, but I haven't actually used it. I will say it seems pretty sweet. It has a nice throw to it

Buy it and a mounting plate from OSCAR. It is the BEST joystick for older 4-way games. I wouldn't give mine up EVER! Good luck.

This is the best joystick (aside from Wico balltops) that I have ever used. It is the only stick even on my vertical cabinet.
You don't HAVE to buy a mounting plate. You can also mount it to a piece of thickish sheet metal and mount that on your control panel. That is what I did (and then I covered it over).
You can cut a chunk of metal off an old computer case if you don't happen to have any sheet metal laying around.

No, certainly you do not have to purchase them from me. However, if you don't have the means to make your own plate then it may be more economical for you to purchase a single plate (see this thread (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=8457) where I offer them for $7 each) than to purchase tools to make your own.
In any case, the Happ Ms.Pac/Galaga Class of '81 stick is the best dedicated 4-way you can purchase today. No exceptions. Forget the 4-way "Ultimate" sticks and other psuedo-4way's, they don't even come close. This cabinet is only about 1/6 the age of my upright and it already has 2x as many plays on it. People love the feel of these 4-way's combined with the 19" vertical monitor!
Here's a few pics of how I installed the Ms.Pac-Galaga sticks with a plate in my cocktail:

Great pics, OSCAR, again!
Do you moonlight as a technical photographer or documentary maker?

It's amazing what a difference shaft length makes. The reunion stick is essentially a Happ super with a shorter ball top shaft and a 4 way actuator but it feels totally different.
I'm not sure whether it comes fitted with a stronger spring that the super though.

Thanks! ...but no, no moonlighting here. My talents lie outside of photography, that I'm sure of. :)
