Yup, it's trivial, and yet I can't decide how to do it. How would you boys and girls decide to organize let's say your dvd collection when it comes to alphabetical order when "the" & "a" comes into play? Should The Aviator or The Matrix be under T or A & M? Should "A lot like love" be under A or L? or "A Scanner Darkly" A or S? I hope you understand where I'm coming from? When I think of Scanner Darkly I don't think of "A" Scanner Darkly, but "A" in "A lot like love" seems to be integral part of the name. Same with "The" Some movies like Matrix I remember as Matrix not The Matrix, but The Departed I remember as The Departed not just Departed. Maybe if english is your first language you don't have that problem?
Please let's not turn this into thread about movies or my taste in movies, thx.

I ignore "a", "an" and "the" when sorting. In XBMC and my own movie program.

So you would put "A lot like love" under "Lot like love"?

I think its down to personal preference i for one call the matrix - 'the matrix' but call the fantastic four - 'fantastic four' and i know some people that call it 'the fantastic four' :dizzy:

Personally?
Aviator, The
Matrix, The
Scanner Darkly, A
Lot Like Love, A

I also break them down into
action. green case
horror red case
family yellow case
PC crap blue case
my cases are close to these. I could not find my exact ones but very similar.
My cases the Handel's have broke. These look stronger.
CD/DVD case (http://cgi.ebay.com/Red-520-Discs-CD-DVD-Wallet-Movie-Organizer-Holder-DJ_W0QQitemZ360166130628QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBI_Blank_Media?hash=item53db9303c4&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)
