I want the ArcadeVGA single AGP version because I made a small custom box to run mame inside my arcade cabinet.
The card looked like the second image from the top of krick's post and was perfect.
It worked fantastic until I broke the graphics card doing something stupid.
I ordered a new card and to my horror I found it to be too big. It looked like image #5 from the top of krick's post.
So if I can get the low profile version again it would be great.

I'm guessing my chances of finding an old card are pretty slim. This is very frustrating. How much effort would it be for andy at ultimark to flash a slimline ati card to sell to me?
-
Possibly not too much effort, but the real question is how much money are you willing to spend on this, and will it actually work properly on a card that is possibly quite a bit different than the intended design.
-
How much and will it work, dunno. This is heading very fast towards the too hard basket. I have already bought a card that's too big. Maybe i'll just buy an asus eeepc and hack it so that it displays 15khz. Actually I have an nvidia card and soft15khz, that could work nicely dont you think?
-
Have you tried using a AGP raiser card ?
-

Yup. Or retry the ATI with those italian-based files.

1. The card wouldn't fit sideways, the cpu or sound card would be in the road.
2. I sandwiched the motherboard between two pieces of perspex and the card is part of the structural design.
Yup. Or retry the ATI with those italian-based files.
I may try the nvidia card option later.

Ask Andy @ Ultimarc. You never know, he might have an old card lying around...
-
would the best place to contact him be on this forum?
-
Can you drop me an email: andy@ultimarc.com
Thanks
-
if you still have the newer one someone would probably trade you
-
Andy, is the ArcadeVGA2 available in a low-profile model?
-

Just sell it. Should be able to get your money, or close to it, back.
-
i have one of those second ones ... the like greeny blue one... i tired to get a piccy over the s-video and it was black and white.. fuzzy and all over the place... i gave up looking at it in the end so no guarantee's that it works even though the ebay guy said it did but let me know if you want me to send it out

I had an issue with a video card s-video output one time. It turned out that the adapter or the cable that I was using was messed up somehow. changing to a different adapter or cable fixed it.

I'm pretty sure I have an old one in storage (actually 1 old, 1 new that never worked with my new computer... I'm now using the card that came stock with my new computer).
If you can't get it from Andy let me know.
-
Great news, I got one! Very happy customer indeed.
Must say im totally blown away cause I didn't think I would have been able to get the card ever.
Now I need to sell the newer one I have that I dont want.

Now I'm trying to sell the newer card that was too big
