I had a quick question regarding the trackball I have pictured above. I just wanted to confirm that the "Monitor ->" is the direction I should mount it pointing the monitor. In the picture above it is pointing left but to mount on my control panel I would just rotate it clockwise to 12 o'clock right?

Just hook it up and try it before mounting...

The monitor arrow is an indicator to orient the trackball properly. You can always change things ins software but trackballs are meant to be used with a specific orientation as the rollers work best that way.

Has anyone had any luck hooking this trackball (pictured above) to a hacked mouse? These are selling on eBay for $64 + $7 shipping. It's listed as a Happ Trackball for Golden Tee.
I hesitate because I see other sales that claim their trackballs work for MAME and they want a lot more. I figure it's a marketing ploy though.
Any thoughts?

well they do work for mame but, with an hacked mouse mod i dont know.but, with ultimarc optipac they work and probably with minipac and other controller boards also.

if you look at the first pc,thats a happ trackball, they are the same as golden tee, they all use the same setup.if you go happ site you will see this.the op is using what looks like gpwiz (or something) and it looks like the op wants to use usb for the connection to the pc.
the golden tee trackball happ sell (for golden tee) is just improved size to fit some of the golden tee cabs.other than that, its same electronics/circuits and wiring.
