Title: Best Emulators to use for......
Post by: savj14 on June 30, 2009, 02:56:10 pm
I have a 27" WG D9200 Arcade Monitor and I'll be using MaLa as my front end.

I wanted to know what the best emulators to use are for the following(what version if it applies):

- Genesis
- NES
- SNES
- Dreamcast
- PSX

Also what Resolutions should I use for each emulator.

Depends a bit on what kind of system you're running. Here's what I recommend:

NES: FCEUX or JNes (FCEUX seems to work better with frontends)
SNES: ZSNES
Dreamcast: NullDC (Dreamcast emulation might be a bit buggy depending on what you got going)
PSX: ePSXe

Those are just my personal perferences. Monitor resolution of course depends on your monitor. 640 x 480 should be fine for all, might want to bump it up for Dreamcast emulation in order to fully enjoy the greatness that is Dreamcast.

On a related note, is there any other emulator for 3d0 other than Freedo. It seems quite buggy and the latest version appears to only have russian text in it    :(
