I recently bought out a rather large operator warehouse. Among other things, he stocked massive amounts of HAPP/WICO related joysticks/buttons/trackballs/encoders/etc.
I've been trying to sort through everything and merge the NEW and NOS parts into my own stock.
What I'd like to know is what HAPP/WICO items, if any, are most desirable to the BYOAC group? When I start offering these things, the prices will be rock bottom -- better than anywhere else. The leveraged purchase will allow me to do this without a second thought on the subject.
For instance, there are:
HAPP RED encoder boards
HAPP Pushbuttons Horizontal Microswitch (looks like 8 colors)
HAPP Competition Pushbuttons (8 colors)
HAPP Ultimate Pushbuttons (7 colors)
HAPP 1-4 Player Pushbuttons (white housing with black players)
HAPP Competition joysticks (5 colors)
HAPP Ultimate joysticks (5 colors - looks like 4-way and 8way type)
HAPP Super joysticks
HAPP Perfect 360 joysticks
HAPP 49-way joysticks
HAPP 2-1/4" trackball units (white ball)
HAPP 3" trackball units (white ball)
WICO Solid color leaf switch buttons (looks like 11 colors) - tall and short
WICO Translucent color leaf switch buttons (looks like 6 colors) - tall and short
WICO Leaf switches for above.
ALL NEW OR NOS PARTS!!
Anyhow, this is just a sampling of what I've seen in the pile, so far. There's multiples of everything!! .....and there's a LOT more!
Let me know what you guys are interested in so I can start pulling this stuff out to generate a FS post. If you don't see it above, let me know what HAPP/WICO parts you ARE interested in. Like I said, there's a lot more than what I listed above.
Thanks
Dave

I would be VERY interested in the long/short Wico Translucent pushbuttons, and associated leaf switches.
-
I would also be interested in the WICO buttons and switches.
-
I'd also be interested in the Wico leaf switches. I don't suppose you have any Wico leaf switch joysticks do you? :)
-
Definitely the WICO stuff.....
WICO Solid color leaf switch buttons (looks like 11 colors) - tall and short
WICO Translucent color leaf switch buttons (looks like 6 colors) - tall and short
WICO Leaf switches for above.
-
I like "rock bottom" and happs controls on the same sentence. ;D
Put me down for like 4 comp sticks color not too important and a hand full of comp buttons
Feel free to PM when they become available

The WICO stuff, without a doubt :)

My order is as follows ;D
Quantity 2 Happ 2 1/4 white TB and if they don't't have red boards in them I would need 2 sets of those as well.
Quantity 1 Happ 49 way
Quantity 6 each WICO Long, and short Translucent buttons in Red, Green, dark Blue, lt blue, and yellow
If you find any Wico Joysticks in there I would buy the following
Quantity 4 Wico 8 way Leaf Joysticks any color
Quantity 2 Wico 4 way Leaf Joysticks any color
I would also greatly appreciate if you come across any 4 inch red wico sticks I could use a pair of them for my multiwilliams project.
I have a few grommet centered microswitch joysticks, so I am just looking for leaf ones.
my order is subject to change as you add more parts.
Just pm me my total and I'll send some cash or paypal whatever you need.
Thanks
GD

WICO Translucent color leaf switch buttons (looks like 6 colors) - tall and short
WICO Leaf switches for above.
& WICO 360's
-
I'll be interested in some of the standard parts, HAPP Pushbuttons, Competition joysticks and so on. Maybe a 3" trackball.
-
HAPP Competition Pushbuttons (8 colors)
HAPP 1-4 Player Pushbuttons (white housing with black players)
HAPP Competition joysticks (5 colors)
HAPP 3" trackball units (white ball)
I'd be interested in all of the above.
-
PM sent (trackballs - either size (if the price is right))
-
Dave,
I'd be interested in some of the Happ pushbuttons and at least one of the red encoder boards.
Thanks!
-
I could use a "HAPP 3" trackball units (white ball)" if the price is right.
-
WICO leaf buttons and a trackball
-
WICO 4 inch balltops.
-
I've often thought it would be cool to do a dual trackball panel for my swappable panel mame cab (to play marble madness). Depending on what "rock bottom" means I would be interested in two 2 1/4 trackballs.
-
Wico parts! Wico parts!
Got any of those rare SQUARE BEZELED push buttons ?
I need two Wico 4" shafts
-
I would like the wico buttons and joysticks
-
Wico leafs for wico joysticks.
Wico pushbutton leafs
possibly 2 wico 4-way joysticks
possibly some wico translucent buttons + holders
-
Dave I second the wico 4-ways
-
Any of the HAPP heavy duty analog sticks?
-
Do you have any Wico Perfect 360 joysticks?
-
WICO buttons, short and tall as well as their leaf switches. I'm ready to buy right now!
-
Echo the Wico parts, and if the price is low enough, a pair of HAPP Perfect 360 joysticks; always good to have spares...
-
Add me to the list of very interested ... .
-
I'd be interested in a couple P360s but only if the price was a steal. I've got a couple stainless bats without a home.
-
The HAPP perfect and 49-ways for me, and anything WICO. :) Please update a link here and in F&S when you have something to offer!
-
Ditto - anything Wico and I'm in for some!!
Breaker.
-
i would be interested in some WICO Translucent color leaf switch buttons (looks like 6 colors) - tall in blue and red.
that would be perfect.
-
any word on prices?
i'll probably be needing controls very soon, also i might ("MIGHT") be needing some mech holders and coin mechs.
a cabinet im suppose to go pick up i think has a gutted coin door, it looks like they rigged up the coin eject buttons to register coin drops.. they might have the rest of the door somewhere but i wont know till i get there.
-
Yep, I'm looking forward to the announcement too. Starting the build tomorrow so will need controls very soon ;D
-
Do you have any Wico Perfect 360 joysticks?
Any hope for this? I've been trying to track these down for ages.
-
I would be interested in 7 red and 7 green solid short wico pushbuttons with associated leaf switches. I would love the opportunity to get rid of the microswitches in my cab. *click* *click* *click* *twitch*
-
Wico parts at a decent price! I have never made the jump due to the fact each button ends up costing like $5 or more with the switch.
-
My 2 cents: Wico Joysticks 4 and 8 way.
-
Just start listing it!
-
Any news on this?
-
The entire lot was sold last month. The buyer asked not to be identified, but I can tell you that he's a regular.
Atari reproduction parts is my niche and since WICO stuff is way outside of that confined market, I wasn't opposed to offloading it in one swoop.
However, I did keep a few parts to use as future reference when I do expand into WICO reproduction work.

wow what a tease, dangle all this stuff in front of us and then, oh it all got sold. :-\
-
Sorry, guys. An offer was dropped on me that I couldn't pass on. Right from the start I wanted to offload the parts, I just didn't plan on doing it all at once.
I'll make it up with more focus on my reproduction parts (which I should be doing anyway).

To be fair, I suspect that if you had contacted him directly, you would have received the same indication that I did that a bulk buy was in progress.
And, as it occurs to me, I never did follow-up (unrelated item) after that as I intended to, which kinda makes the point anyway.
-
Has anyone seen Wico stuff emerge on ebay or somewhere else that may have been from this Sale, Still looking for Wico 4ways

And then I read this on www.videogameparts.com:
Coming soon: Over 4500 new NOS parts coming in August 2009. We still have over 25,000 NOS parts in storage to list. Look for new additions each week!
Mmmmmmmmm
-
Great..... that place is the biggest rip off ever
I feel better if the parts were burned and then dumped out to sea......

I was not me. I just bought out all of Betson's obsolete stock, or what they consider obsolete. The blurb on my site is about the Betson parts.
