Title: Online Pet Peeves
Post by: protokatie on June 29, 2009, 10:15:47 pm
What are your biggest online pet peeves (as in message boards, forums, etc.).

For me, the biggest pet peeve is when people use "ECT" as the abbreviation for Et Cetera... ECT is a home pregnancy test, not a latin phrase!  :badmood:

How about you guys?
It can be anything, such as: People posting inane and pointless topics, people who point out others mistakes, people who forget to include an ' in the word "others", ect...

There are plenty of cases where that's a suitable answer. What the hell do we have the wiki for if not? I understand there can be abuse of that reply, but the wiki is there for a reason.

Megan Fox is one of my favorite things on the internet.

Pop ups, redirects, advertising and viruses would be my online pet peeves.

... oh and people who think because they use an online feature, it should be reasonable to assume that everyone else uses it.
