Title: Griffin AIRCLIK USB help
Post by: Thenasty on June 29, 2009, 02:15:51 pm
The USB Head part of my Airclick busted and the wires were detached. I need to re-solder them into the right pins but dunno which wires goes to what pin. I e-mailed Griffin and they said that they can't give me the info I wanted.
So, I'm asking here if anyone has one of this that they could take pic of it and show me. The cover is easily remove. It is not glued or stuck in anyway. It just clips/click together.

I know you can get this item around $15.00-$25.00 but this is like a borken monitor and just need to put those wires in the right place (no need to buy  a new one).  ;)

TIA

for anyone interested, here is a TIP.
You can use one this as your CREDIT whswitch. Just need to tell MAME to use those assign button to give you a credit. You can control your credits wirelessly. Good for kids so you can give them credits if they desrve it.
I'm sure you get the idea and other ideas.

Here is what exactly.

There are 5 wires

Left Side (post)
RED
WHITE   this is still attached to the outer side (lets just call it left side of the USB header)

Right side (post)
BLACK  this is still attached and its attach to the housing of the USB header (used a multimeter) so its GND
RED
WHITE

So this is a txt diagram

USB

GND        Housing   black wire still attached.
1 2 3 4

The White on LEFT side is attached to #1

2 3 4 are missing. So One of this has to be the RED from the LEFT SIDE (post) and the RED&WHITE from RIGHT side (post) but which PIN gets what wire.
