Hi there folks,
Basically I want my Arcade Monitor to switch on when the PC is powered on. The PSU that powers my PC is one of those ones with a 'pass through' mains supply for powering a normal monitor. Is there an issue with using this to power my arcade monitor?
I'm guessing the alternive is to use a relay that switches on 12V or 5V to supply 240V to the Arcade monitor.
Obviously I could just try plugging my Arcade monitor into the 'pass though' of my PSU but I don't want to break ANYTHING!
Thanks,
Mat

As long as your PC supply and the monitor is 240V you should be fine. Just saying that because it will work fine in North America where the PC supply and monitor are 120V. If there is an isolation transformer feeding your monitor it should be kept in the circuit or you can damage your monitor.
