Title: hantarex 9000/sanwa monitor swap
Post by: archanjel on June 22, 2009, 11:38:02 pm
Hi Folks,

I needed to replace my hantarex 9000 monitor and I found a Sanwa VGA model #29PF31. I was told this was a simple swap minus a modification or two on the harnesses but when I finally received it the wiring turned out to be quite different than what I am familiar with. My cabinet has the standard JAMMA wiring 9 wires going to the monitor with iso transformer etc. The Sanwa has a single harness with 10 wires. It also appears that maybe this does not run off of the power supply in the cabinet and could perhaps be wired to plug directly into an outlet? This is the first time I've worked with a more modern monitor and am kinda lost and hesitant. Does anyone know how to hook this up or is familiar with the Sanwa monitor?  2708 pic is my cabinet wiring and the other pics are the harness of the Sanwa.

Thanks for any input

i am sure the sanwa will not fit onto the 9000 as the yoke are completely different, the 9000 uses a standard res type yoke rated around 1.2mh whilst the 29es31 uses a yoke rated at 0.300mh
i think you will fry the deflection stage on the sanwa
