Title: keyboard encoder question...
Post by: jakejake28 on July 08, 2003, 12:08:12 am
hey. i am making a jukebos control panel for my existing arcade, and i want to know if ipac2 or keywiiz can do this: i will program custom key layouts (both do) but i want to be able to unplug this, plug it back in, and have the same custom layout. can either of these do it? usb or ps2, i don't really care. thanks n advance

Yes, the I-Pac saves its programmed layout when unplugged. Mine hadn't been plugged up for months, but still remembered my custom programming when I tested it yesterday.

Now, if it would only remember how to make the Player 1 joyleft input work  >:( That input died a while back and doesn't work in either Mame or even when programmed.

I-PAC will remember the custom config.  KeyWiz will need the custom config reloaded, but you can do this from a batch file either in the autoexec.bat, or in a batch file to load the jukebox software.
