Several actually.
One of them being that the model in question is a specialised multi-display computer. It's also in a blade form making it doubly expensive.

well the shipping is a bit too high?

It's the type that control multi displays a once, like at the stock market, Best Buy, TV stations, Museums and the likes. To the common pc user, yes its way too pricey. We have several of those type at work and I laugh at how much they pay just to have the multi-displays when really they dont need them. Several of our machine vendors sell us parts we dont really need, but when presented to the engineers, the engineers get ga ga and have the purchase department buy the un-needed stuff anyway!

Mmmm. I didn't really know what was special about it. But as you said, it isn't really special. I was just thinking the general specs of the machine didn't equate to that much money - at least relative to hardware these days.
