I'm planning on putting a Naomi & GD-Rom system in my custom Vewlix once I get it setup (since it does VGA I think).
But I have no idea how to hook it up or anything.
I read the stuff on sega-naomi.com and some of it was helpful. But there are still a lot of questions I need help with.
Inputs....I know you can get a capcom I/O adapter and that'll convert it to Jamma. But what do I need to do if I don't wanna hook it up through Jamma?
What I mean is....the only other hardware in my cab is a Xbox 360. So all the controls will be wired to 2 xbox 360 controllers. Do I just need to run extra wires and plug them into the board? Or does it have a special harness I need?
My LCD television in the cab doesn't take VGA....only HDMI & Component. So what would I need to fix that, but still keep the good quality image.
Also...how easy/hard is it to swap out games in a Naomi system?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yes, it does VGA. As for converting -- are you running audio through the TV as well ? I know there are converters that will take VGA+Audio and convert to HDMI, but have never used one, so can't speak to quality.
I dunno the answer to your interface question as I run mine into JAMMA.
It takes me about 5 minutes to swap a GD-ROM game and most of that is spent wriggling in behind the cabinet and clipping on a light so I can see. The actual swap takes less time than it takes the system to boot.

ah cool.
As for interface....all I'll have in my cab are the bare buttons and wires going wherever they need to go. No sort of interface other than the Xbox 360.
As for the audio. I'm gonna have 2 car speakers plugged into a portable amp I found on ebay that takes stereo in. So thats no issue I dont think.
