Title: Pole Position Shifting in MAME

It's been awhile since I have messed with any racing games in MAME. If I remember correctly Pole Positions controls were poorly written for MAME. I think that it expects just a momentary button press to change gears, where in the actual cab it was a micro switch that would be pressed when in a particular gear. Has this ever been fixed or is it in the works?

I doubt this will ever be fixed as the MAMEdev don't consider it broken...

However it is easily fixed, and I have done so with ShifterMame:
