I am just finishing my second build for my brother and have a couple of questions. I am using vista on this build (might go back to XP)
Downloaded mala 105 and ran it, and when I try to set the plug-in for my pac drive it says that it is detected but not connected. the lights light up upon computer boot and stay light so I know that they are receiving power from the port. Any body else run into this problem?
The second problem I am having is that when trying to use the mala speech I get an error saying "Floating point division by zero", is this because of VISTA?
I have searched but could not find anything related to this.
Should I just install XP or is there something that I'm missing, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Regarding the speech plugin, have you seen reply # 29 and reply # 31 linked below? Sounds like the XP speech engine is required. Dunno if anyone has gotten it to work with Vista.

Thanks SGT,
I only run into that problem when testing the mala startup and mala shut down, when I test the speak controls it works but does not flash the buttons (probally beacause I don't have the pac drive plug in working as of yet :banghead:). But it does speak the controls? which I thought was wierd.

This is really wierd I have no idea why but after removing the text from start up and exit, it speaks and flashes the controls with no more error. I didn't change anything, oh well I leave it the way it is.

What plug-in are you trying to use the Pac-Drive with?
You know that MaLa supports PacDrives Nativley right?

Sorry, loadman
Not a plug-in but in the hardware tab when I press set it would only display the id but did not say connected, I later tried after a restart and it worked. Don't know exatly what the problem was.
I've got the flash and speak to work by deleting all the text for start up and exit in the ini file. I get the odd random error of "floating point division error" but it seems to work most of the time. When it flashes the buttons and speaks the controls I notice that on the player two controls it flashes player 6 button instead on button 1, but when it finishes it lights up the correct button player 1. Can't seem to figure that one out.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but another option would be the LEDBlinky plugin. Just a thought.

Sure use that, but I would like to know what the bug was as I have two PacDrives now
