when i search google, all that comes up are t shirts with this capability

When I watch the YouTube videos of these, they look like they don't really respond to frequencies...just to changes in volume.  But they kind of vary the LED's enough to make you think they're doing more.

It requires batteries as well.   I wonder how long you can leave it on until you need new batteries.

It's 6 Volt, i think you could run it off a 5V PC Feed.

I was thinking about building one of these into my Jukebox, Does anyone have any experience with them yet.
1) Can they be wired to run of an adpater or PC source?
2) what are the dimensions, none of the sites give any specs? postcard, A4?
3) Does it actually react to ambient sound or do you need to shout at it?
