Title: rf topgun problems

I just cant get my New rf topgun to work. Can someone help me please.
I have mounted the IR stands and have installed the gun panel program but cant get the gun to talk to the program.
I am running windows xp.
Any help will be appreciated

a little more detail would help.

I don't have the RF guns - but they are essentially the same as topgun 2's- just have the RF usb receiver as the difference

So
1. Are the guns connected? Does the led on the rf usb key flash? If not change the channel and try again.
2. Does the driver install? Once installed you should be able to see the HID topgun and mouse in the control panel ander system device manager - when you turn on the gun.
3. I don't know what you mean talk to the program? Try calibrating the guns.

The usb reciever does not flash when I insert in and power on the gun. Essentially when Im in the panel program it doesnt show any guns installed.

OK well that means the guns are not being seen- ie: you do not have a connection with the USB receiver. No point trying anything else until you fix this. Have you changed the channel and tried again? Tried the second gun?

I only have one gun and I cant figure out how to force it to talk to the rf adapter. the instructions say that when you plug in the adapter it will blink for a few seconds while searching for a gun. But it doesnt. what should i do?

OK turn on your speakers so you can hear the USB receiver when you plug it in. Do you hear the windows sound for a USB device.

If you do unplug it, change the channel switch and plug it back in. If you still have no flashing then can you try another computer?
If you don't hear the windows sound then the device is not being recognised. Again try another computer if possible. I think your receiver is dead

the reciever works. I get the boop boop sound and I was even able to install the drivers from the rf adapter. where I think the problem lies is that the wireless gun is not being found by the adapter.

ok that suggests the gun is not transmitting. Time to get in touch with hkems- did you buy direct or through an agent?

Still worth trying another pc to verify
