Im new to the forum but a looong time lurker. I made an upright cabinet in high school which i knocked down a year later, as it was done on a high school budget, and didnt quite turn out how i wanted it. I kept the CP and continued to use it on the computer i used for mame as a little video game system.
So now I want to start a project of a sort of a cocktail like cabinet. I kept my side by side control panel and put it on a box that will eventually become a cocktail. I followed online guides and sizes, but I ran into a snag.
The dimensions are 34.5"x28"x30" without the table top, once i get the glass and put the top on it should be about 30 5/8" inches or so. But already the thing seems huge. I can hardly imagine a screen laying flat and viewing down on it being comfortable or even workable. I only have used a cocktail cabinet a couple of times and ill try to get some pics up for critique.
I was thinking about putting the monitor at an angle and cutting a larger hole for a better view since its a side by side, but i only sat at a cocktail cab a couple of times ever, so im new the the idea.
