Title: How's this setup for Arcade games?

I know that's a pretty rough drawing, but bear with me. I would like to have the kind of arcade setup where the player is sitting down on a bench, and with 4 controllers. Do rear projection tv's work for mame, they are extremely cheap on craigslist since most people just want to get rid of them. However, at the same time i run the risk of having to pay 100-200 dollars for a new bulb if that one goes out.

Also, remember that almost all rear projection tvs have a stand built in.

well i can tell you that the older RPTVs don't use bulbs, they have three television tubes for each color. Just make sure the convergence setup is run and you should have a good picture.

I don't know why people want to dump their RPTVs... I got a 42" for free and put an $85 part in it, works fine.

I think they like things that cannot be fixed.. seems to be that way. I also got a 42" rptv for free cause the guy bought an lcd. He said he did this because he had so many problems with the rptv. I brought it home, plugged it in and............. tada worked fine lol, has ever since. I honestly still believe to this day he just needed batterys in the remote and was too lazy to try the power button on the tv...... shrug.....
