Title: Hyperspin FE
Post by: moonchilddave on May 24, 2009, 11:15:02 pm
I'm trying to download the Hyperspin FE to give it a try.  Only problem is, I've registered (twice - with 2 different email addresses) and NEVER get the confim e-mail.  I can't even figure out who the heck to send e-mail to so that they can validate my account or have it try to resend the confirmation e-mail.  Is there somewhere else trustworthy that I can download it from?  Or does anyone know who to contact?  It's driving me insane.  And yes, I did check my spam folder, and incoming e-mail logs... nothing.

I'm assuming that you registered under moonchilddave, as well, on the HyperSpin site, right?  If so I just went ahead and manually approved your account.  You should be able to log in now and begin downloading.

That's strange.  I just signed up the day before yesterday and everything went super smooth. I have to say that this is one of the finest looking front ends I have ever seen.

Additionally, as a newbie myself, I have gotten answers to all of my questions in record time ont he hyperspin forum.

Have you tried emailing the team at hyperspin?  They really are very responsive!
Cheers.

Been testing Hyperspin for about two weeks and really enjoying it.  I think I will be registering for FTP access once I get all my emulators working.  Biggest one I am not sure about is VPinball, hoping to tackle it this week.

Anyway, I am not familiar with FTP.  Is there a FTP program that people use to access the FTP site or is it just a web page that you need a login to access and then download from?

Thanks

I haven't used it for there site, but there are lots of good FTP programs.

FTP Explorer is the one I typically use, but Cute FTP is good also - there are lots of good ones.

Has anyone had any problems getting Project 64 1.6 to launch in Hyperspin?  Every time I try I get an unable to open rom error (I forget the exact verbage).

1) I've seen several suggestions to remove the quotes from the n64 command line in the ini file.  No change
2) My N64 roms (.z64 extention) are zipped which dosn't seem to be a problem for Mala but I thought that might be the cause.  Zipped or not still no go.
3) Project 64 1.6 launches just fine in Mala and with the canned GUI.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance

I found a download of PJ64 1.7 installed it and it worked perfect out of the box.  I totally geek out every time I load hyperspin, thanks for the great product!!!
