Title: Mala doesn't display Marquee for Other Emulator
Post by: daok on May 19, 2009, 01:32:34 pm
Hi,

I have all marquee for the Mame Arcade games. I have a list of N64 games and I have in the menu (right button>Options>Other emu config) added the emulator (I see games in the list) and I have added a directory for the Marquee. When I am in Mala, I can see all games and play but I do not see the marquee images.

The directory with the marquee contain for exameple Mario Kart 64 (E) (V1.0) [!].png for the game Mario Kart 64 (E) (V1.0) [!].z64.

What am I doing wrong?

What happens if you remove the spaces out of the rom name and the marquee image (just as a test).  Are there any options to encapsulate the image path in quotes?

I suspect since mame doesn't use spaces in it's name, it doesn't have this issue.  However, I've never attempted to do this so I'm only guessing.

Thanks csa3d,

You got it, the space was the problem. Now everything work fine :)

Thank you :)

So your solution was to rename all your roms, or was there a encapsulate function?  If it's a rename rom issue, then maybe loadman can add it to his bug list for things to do on a lower priority of course ;)
