Hiyah - thanks for such a great site. I've decided to take the plunge and build a MAME system, but I'm short the major component - the cabinet.
I tried all the local (i.e two) arcade vendors and they weren't interested at all. I've posted on various newsgroups for about a month and nothing except collectors trying to sell me beat-up cabs with burnt-in monitors for $400 :(
Does anyone close by have a cabinet that they want to get rid of?
Many thanks

If northwest IL isn't out of bounds I know some folks here that would more than likly give you something.

I live in LaCrosse, and found a cab monitor and controll in Chicago. Took the 5 hour drive, caught a cubs game and picked up the machine. Gas, uhaul, and tickets were about $105. If your willing to do the drive keep lookin on ebay in the chicago area, your bound to find something.

I have two (empty) classic arcade cabinets in my garage that I would like to move out to make room for other stuff. I'm in Maple Grove (west side of Twin Cities, MN)
$20 - Frogger cabinet (converted to who knows what), painted black, no control panel, nothing left inside except the original speaker and a few bits of wiring, has back door, has original coin door but it's completely stripped, wood is in good shape except for a little (typical) splintering at bottom sides of cabinet
$30 - Galaxian cabinet (converted to War of the Bugs), painted blue but can see that original Galaxian art is underneath, excellent condition, no back door, has full original Midway coin door (no coin mechs), still has full wiring harness inside, has original control panel
Let me know if you're interested; I can email pics. Please reply to my home email, aestenson@comcast.net

Haha, that's funny. How'd you end up with those cabinets? I basically gave them to Jim for free when he bought the monitor that was in the Galaxian cab :)

I'm really looking for a cocktail cab - I live in an apartment so space (and weight) is and issue.

Anyone got anything for me? :)
