Title: 1UPArcade is back online
Post by: 1UP on May 17, 2009, 11:28:02 pm
I have uploaded my old 1UPArcade website as a subdomain of my personal site.  It can now be found here:

http://1uparcade.rmfx.com/ (http://1uparcade.rmfx.com/)

The site is just a showcase for my rotating control panel cabinet, Pac-Mamea, and also contains some reviews and hardware hacks.  It is fairly outdated, but for now it is just an archive for anyone interested in a different kind of arcade project.

I have restored the content that was removed when I was going into corporate mode, except for the side view plans which I am having trouble finding at the moment...

Hope someone finds this useful.  :)

OK, found the plans.  They're on the downloads (http://1uparcade.rmfx.com/arcade-downloads.html) page.

Thanks!  I appreciate it, there is good stuff there for people that are motivated to build their own cabinet over mame'n an old cab.

Thank you. You have convinced me not to make a new cabinet. :)

I added the web site to your project page on the wiki (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/1UP%27s_Pac-Mamea%21).

Hehe, I know what you mean.  To be honest, if I had known how much work this would be, I would have probably opted for an easier design.  If I make another cabinet, it will probably be a showcase cab and I won't be doing it from scratch, more likely I'll modify a Mameroom kit.  The rotating panels have a definite WOW factor when people see me flip them over, but the space inside the panels is extremely limiting if you want to add anything like rotary sticks or a Tron stick.

But since I don't have space for a showcase just yet, this is a nice little machine that fits in the corner of my den.  Just need to get everything wired up and working again!

You have a couple of pages on dontdatehimgirl.com, but they're not as useful to BYOACers.

Hehe, hope my wife doesn't see those...
