Title: White Screen on my donkey kong.
Post by: dragon on May 14, 2009, 08:03:56 pm
Hi guys,

When I turn on my donkey kong a white screen appears, at first I would flip the switch on and off and it would work, but now it only stays white even with when i switch it on and off. What do you think is the problem??

Thanks

No it doesn't play blind. No sound at all from the game. I'm starting to think it's the board not the screen.I'll try your advise thanks.

A white screen on a DK is usually an indicator that something is wrong with the board.  No power?  Bad power?  Cables not hooked up?  Not all cables hooked up?  Cables hooked up in the wrong spots?

It wasn't long ago we were troubleshooting a regular DK that would come up with only a RED screen..... it would play "blind", just only a red screen. (no image)
I only helped troubleshoot it, wasn't in on the repair, but I believe they just swapped out one board. (I presume the video processing side of things)

But the point being it was the board set.

(just kinda confirming what you already figured out)
