Title: Custom HTPC for sale (NH, USA) ***$400 (as low as I'm going)***
Post by: crashwg on May 13, 2009, 09:14:37 pm
I have decided to sell my HTPC.  It's only been in use for about 6 months and the only thing I use it for is watching Blu-Ray and DVDs on the projector.  Someone out there must be able to put it to better use...

What you are getting:
SilverStone Lascala LC-17* $120 (http://www.google.com/products?q=silverstone+lc17&hl=en)
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe $150 (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=ASUS+A8N-SLI&hl=en&cid=12036981161087399179&sa=title#ps-sellers)
Athlon64 3500+ $50 (http://www.google.com/products?q=athlon+64+3500&hl=en)
Ultra XFinity 500w $70 (http://www.google.com/products?q=ultra+x+finity+500&hl=en)
WinTV PVR-150 $75 (http://www.google.com/products?q=wintv+150+-mce&hl=en)
Sapphire ATI HD2600XT $140 (http://www.google.com/products?q=sapphire+hd2600xt&hl=en)
Lite-On Blu-Ray Player DH-4O1S $130 (http://www.google.com/products?q=Lite-on+blu-ray&hl=en)
(2) Ultra Brand 512MB DDR (1@333MHz 1@400MHz) $40
Seagate Barracuda 80GB @ 7200RPM $30
Trayless SATA Hot-Swap bay $20

+ iMon Inside remote and receiver (http://www.ipcrepublic.com/iMon-Remote-3.5-BLACK-Plate-External-Bay-USB-IR-Receiver-iMon-Pad-Remote-Black-Internal-3.5-Bay-_1800_853.html)

For a grand total of...  $905 to purchase all these parts at current prices

I would like to get $500 + Shipping.  I would consider a trade if either a Wii or a standalone Blu-Ray player is involved.  I suppose you could offer other stuff too, you never know right...

*I have customized the front panel to accept any 5-1/4 drive flush with the front of the case as opposed to the openings for only the drive trays the case originally comes with.  This was done professionally in a machine shop and looks stock.

The lighting in the pictures make it look like the drives are a different color and stand out like a sore thumb.  In real life they look like they belong and match quite nicely.

Guess I should have dusted it before taking the pictures...  :P

Forgot about this:

iMon Inside remote and receiver (http://www.ipcrepublic.com/iMon-Remote-3.5-BLACK-Plate-External-Bay-USB-IR-Receiver-iMon-Pad-Remote-Black-Internal-3.5-Bay-_1800_853.html)

This remote is capable of controlling just about anything on the PC including POWER UP which is rare in an IR remote.

The new price is $450.

Still looking for a Wii or a standalone Blu-Ray player.  I suppose you could offer other stuff too.  I do like stuff...

No deal was made with wfg97079 so it's still FS/FT.

Price is now $400 + shipping.  I really can't go any lower for a cash only deal.  If you offer anything in trade it must include a Blu-Ray player or at least $150 so I can buy one.

I found a trade that included a modded Wii and a terabyte of information.  It turned out that the hard drives were junk or damaged in shipping though so right now I got the sort end of the stick trading my $900+ in computer parts for $300 of Wii.

To be fair, the guy claims to be re-assembling the information that was on the drives and says that he will get it to me but then again, he doesn't seem to be in much of a rush or even keep me updated...  Yea, I'm still hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

I bet a $20 newsgroup subscription could have got you that information.

Yea, right now I'd settle for the TB of HD space.
