I have a wg k7000 series that came in a MK4 cabinet I would like to power seperately. i'm pretty sure right now it goes:
WG ---> isolation transformer (small box bolted to the bottom of the cabinet) --> power supply --> ac to the wall
I'm thinking I need to get the AC from the isolation transformer and wire that to a plug so I can just go:
WG --> isolation transformer --> splice into wall plug
I'd really appreciate any help with this as I'm really new to working on arcade machines. I'll post pictures later if what I'm talking about isn't clear enough.

Some cabs have power supplies that supplied the AC to the whole cabinet. Not sure if yours is one of them. You can always rewire: WG --> ISO --> Outlet. Or whatever.

it has a power supply that powers a happ power adapter box, which then powers the board. but I disconnected the happ power adapter because I don't want power running through the jamma harness because I'm hooking that up to a jpac. Without the board hooked up I don't think the power supply will power anything else, least that seems to be the case because I tried it and got nothing.
so I'm thinking I need to splice power from the ISO out to ac wall plug and attach the ground to the metal part of the ISO? thanks for any help.

"Switching power supply"

It would be the ISO "in", but yeah you have the right idea.
Wall plug-------> ISO------->Monitor
Ground form the wall plug to the metal casing of the ISO and from there to the frame of the monitor.
