Just got my first arcade cab, an mk2 for $420. Pretty good working condition but have done some mods already. Made a new cpo, new locks, new marquee balast and marquee, new coin lights, painted the cpo metal trim, new screws in the upper portion of the cabinet because it was dropped and didnt have a tight fit. New t moulding coming from t-molding.com. Also just won an auction off ebay for some brand new original parts including new red joysticks, all new buttons, and an original mk2 manual. Found a distributor in Vancouver, where i live and am getting ki2 in the next week or so. Also found a guy online here whos selling cruisin usa for $300. My one bedroom appartment is filling up fast.....

Nice find Midway81. I'm from Kelowna, and cabs around here are scarce. I just got my first cab a couple weeks ago (very bastardized TRON with 1943 bootleg board for $130) 8)
You'll be jealous once you start reading what the guys on here in the stats pickup cabs for :hissy:

i am already amazed at what ive seen. I never knew this whole sub-culture of arcade enthusiasts existed. Im already into it fully, im checking craigslist daily for something new to pick up. This weekend im hopefully getting another cab. You have pics of your tron machine?

consider yourself lucky man.
I live in South Carolina where apparently arcade cabinets are close to extinction.
I've called people I knew who ran arcades, or "repair" places around....no one has any for a decent price. By decent.....I mean under $900.
The closest is Charleston, but thats a helluva drive to pick up 1 cabinet. I guess I just need to save up and make a trip for several cabs at a time.

i would have thought every state would have many machines to choose from. Why is south carolina so dry?
-
No idea. Most of the arcades around me have shut down with the exception of one. And they aren't selling their machines.
Its just hard to find machines in my area.
-
you try craigslist? thats where i got mine.
-
yep. closest sales are in Charleston.
